The
Miniature Pinschers are well balanced, sturdy, compact, elegant, short
vigorous and alert.
Its
characteristics is precise hackney gait, fearless animation, complete
self possession and spirited presence.
Its
temperament is fearless and alert.
The
Head and Skull is more elongated than short and round. Narrow, without
conspicuous cheek formation in proportion to body. Skull is flat when
viewed from front. Muzzle is rather strong and proportionate to skull.
Nostrills are well formed. Nose is black with the exception of
chocolate and blue in which it may be self-coloured.
Its
eyes will be fitting well into face. Neither to full nor round, nor to
small or slanting. Black or nearly black.
Its
ears should be set on higm, as small as possible, erect or dropped.
In
mouth, Jaws are strong, with a perfect, regular and complete scissor
bite, i.e. the upper teeth closely overlapping the lower teeth and set
square to the jaws.
The
neck is strong but graceful, slightly arched. Well fitted into
shoulders, free from throatiness.
In
Forequarters the Forechest is well developed and full, moderately
broad, shoulders clean, sloping with moderate angulation. Legs
straight, medium bone, elbows close to body.
The
Body is square, back line straight, sloping towards rear. Belly
moderately tucked up. Ribs well sprung, deep rather than barreled.
Viewed from top slightly wedge shaped.
The
Hindquarters is Parallel and wide enough apart to fit in with a
properly built body. The Hindquarters are developed, muscular with
good sweep of stifle, and hocks turning neither in or out. Legs
straight, medium bone.
The
Feet is Cat-like, and nails are dark. The Tail is continuation of
topline carried a little high and customarily docked short.
The
Gait/ Movement is coordinated to permit a true hackneyed action.
The
Coat is smooth, hare and short. Straight and lustrous. Closely
adhering to and uniformity covering body. Hair forming ridge on any
part of head, body or legs highly undesirable.
The
Colour is black, blue, chocolate with sharply defined tan markings on
cheeks, lips, lower jaw, throat, twin spots above eyes and chest,
lower half of forelegs, inside of hindlegs and vent region, lower
portion of hocks and feet. All above colours have black penciling on
toes without thumb marks. Solid red of various shades. Slight white on
chest permissible but undesirable.
The
Height from 25.5-30cm (10-12ins) at withers.
Any
departure from the foregoing points should be considered a fault and
the seriousness, with which the fault should be regarded, should be
exact proportion to its degree.
Note: The males should have two
apparently normal testicles fully descended in to the scrotum.
